Simultaneous Observation of Gas Properties’ Effect on Emulsion Phase Voidage and Bubble Size in Fluidized Catalyst Beds

Many correlations have been proposed for bubble size in fluidized beds, mainly Geldart B particles. For particles with physical properties suitable catalyst the is significantly affected by gas properties. However, there are no that take into account effect of fluidizing gases. Reactor models necessary appropriate design and operation bed reactors, one important parameters determining mass transfer coefficient between phase emulsion model. Various gases used industrial reaction processes, making it to correctly consider influence on size. In this study, A were a two-dimensional using several gases, behavior bubbles voidage was simultaneously observed. Color movies created visually observe voidage, average under each condition determined from images. We confirmed decreases as increases.
